JOSEF IS ALREADY CALLING ŠIROKÁ STREET “HOME.”

Life has returned to normal. After the festivities, everything seems ordinary.

Pepa is wondering if there is a place that could be any worse.

Věra dreamt that all the places where there had been barricades during the festivities now had doormats where visitor had to clean their shoes before entering the city center.

The first step towards removing the stuffed deer from the window on Linecká Street has been taken. Together with little Josef, we went over to the Chinese restaurant, after being sent from one manager to the next, we finally (let’s hope) reached the right one. Let’s see if he understood.

The bench that was installed across the street three days ago is serving its function well.

Ten minutes later, there was a man sitting on it who didn’t look well, so we called an ambulance for him.

Little Josef says some funny things sometimes: “Some guy was walking by who looked Chinese, but he said ‘Hi.’ Isn’t that odd?”

He’s already calling our UNES-CO flat “home.” Just five more nights and we’re going back to our real home.
